For shooting sports, the Iron County Shooting Range, located 15 miles northwest of Cedar City, accommodates all skill levels in an unsupervised setting where safety is the shooter's responsibility.

Additionally, the Iron County Three Peaks Campground spans 155 acres within a 6,000-acre recreation area, perfect for group gatherings, camping, mountain biking, and picnicking. Just 12 miles east of Cedar City along SR-14, Wood Ranch offers picnic areas, hiking, fishing opportunities at Kid’s Pond, and serves as the trailhead for the 32-mile Virgin River Rim Trail.
