Provisional un-Processed

When a voter’s eligibility to vote is in question they are issued a provisional ballot. These ballots are counted only after the voter’s eligibility is confirmed.

Replicated

Ballots that are returned damaged or unable to be counted using ballot tabulators, a replica of the original ballot is made in order to count the ballot for the voter.

Challenged

Ballots that cannot be counted for one or more reasons. Some reasons may be that the return envelope was not signed, the voter’s signature didn’t match, or the voter needs to provide additional identification. Voters are given an opportunity to cure a challenged ballot before the election is canvased.
