Traffic School Enrollment

Submit the enrollment form below to request a Traffic School Plea in Abeyance. Please read the important notice before continuing.

Do not pay your fine until after you’ve received traffic school enrollment email confirmation.

You will receive a confirmation that your request for enrollment was received. This is not confirmation of actual enrollment. You will receive another email directly from the Court confirming you qualify to enroll, after your case has been reviewed.

You have 30 days from the date of your citation to initiate your interest in a Traffic School Plea in Abeyance. To enroll, please fill out the enrollment form below.

Please allow one business day for confirmation of your registration. Wait to pay your fine until after you have confirmation of enrollment in Traffic School.

What Happens Next:

By filling out this form, you are signing up for a Traffic School Plea in Abeyance with the Iron County Justice Court.

You will receive an email outlining the following:

  1. Fine amount* + Plea in Abeyance Fee of $25.00, to be paid to the Court. This can be paid online by going to Online Payments. You can also pay in cash in person at the court lobby or with a money order or cashiers check mailed to 82 N 100 E, Suite 101, Cedar City, UT 84720.
  2. *To determine your fine amount reference the hyperlink for the UTAH BAIL SCHEDULE
  3. The sign up email confirmation will have two forms attached: a Rights Form and a Plea in Abeyance Agreement. Both forms need to be filled out, signed, and returned to the Justice Court. If you do not have scanning capability, you can take a picture and email to [email protected] or mail to the address listed above. There is no faxing.
    • If your citation was written by Utah Highway Patrol, Iron County Sheriff’s Office, Enoch Police Department, Brian Head Marshall, Cedar City Police Department, you will need to sign up for online traffic school through www.utahroadsafety.com. You will pay them $45.00 directly, and they will email the court once you successfully complete the course. This is in addition to the $25.00 Plea in Abeyance fee.
    • If SUU Police Department wrote your citation, you will need to call them and sign up for their “in-person” traffic school. They can be reached at 435-586-1911. They are located at 36 N 300 W, Cedar City, UT 84720. You will pay them $50.00 directly for their course. This is in addition to the $25.00 Plea in Abeyance fee.
  1. Keep a clean driving record, no other moving violations.

Three months from the date you return your Plea in Abeyance agreementAccepted signed, your case will be reviewed for dismissal. If you have complied with all steps listed here, your case will be dismissed.

You are signing up for a Traffic School Plea in Abeyance with the Iron County Justice Court, and agree to complete all outlined conditions within 90 days."
